織織復織織：如何編織共生並存的社區連結？
編織既是象徵性的社會行動，以橫向、平等的方式連結社群之餘，也把社群裏被慣性隱藏的私密甚至異議聲音，帶到公共場景發揚開去。王永棠曾試過與「織織團」的一班婦女到牛棚藝術村參觀展覽，她們手裏還帶著勾針邊行邊織，圍著藝術品聽著展覽導賞，同時又熟能生巧地以相若的節奏密密織密密織，人和環境頓然和諧共融起來。阿棠覺悟那是種近乎同步「入定」的狀態，其實也象徵了在社群連結的網絡中互相協調，求存同異，共生並存的關係。

Civil Society and Art – Visual Art in Public Space
Civil society and art are often in a dynamic interrelationship: social themes that are perceived as relevant and meaningful find their expression in the arts. And art offers a medium for social debates. Hong Kong, with its vibrant cultural and creative scene and a very active civil society, is an impressive testimony to this.
The Goethe-Institut is opening a new series of discussion on the topic of civil society and art, in which various areas will be focused on in loose succession. The fourth discussion will focus on Visual Art in Public Space. Artists Wen Yau, Kacey Wong and Him Lo will share their thoughts on the topic in relation to the society that they live in. The discussion will be moderated by Vivienne Chow.

Sie läuft mit verbundenen Augen bei Demonstrationen in Hongkong mit: die Künstlerin und Aktivistin Wen Yau. In Leipzig zeigt sie derzeit ihre Installation „Wir sind das Volk!“. Im Interview spricht sie auch über ihre Verbindung zur Friedlichen Revolution in Leipzig.

Thanks for the generous support from the Goethe-Institut Hongkong, I presented a live performance at HALLE 14, Leipzig as part of the exhibition “The Ends of Freedom” on 7/11/2019, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the fall of Berlin Wall.
